Bio:

Founding partner and director of Micrologica (www.micrologica.com), an electronic engineering company with 25 years of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of electronic products and systems. Pola has led multidisciplinary electronic projects in Chile, Brazil, Mexico and Taiwan. Key developments include a mix of telecommunications and banking applications/devices such as specialized communication interfaces, personal banking applications, AVL devices, People-meter devices and ATMs. As a wireless data expert, Pola has developed diverse applications over land-radio, trunking radio networks, mobitex, CDMA, low orbit satellite, GPRS and reflex.
Since 2007, Pola is part of the research and development efforts at Bling Nation (www.blingnation.com). In this role, Pola leads the development of Bling Nation’s mobile and contactless payment solutions.
Pola has worked as a professor at Universidad de Chile and has been a director for Chilean institutions such as CORFO (Chilean Small Business Agency), ASEXMA (Chilean Manufactured Product Exports Associations), AIE (Chilean Electronic Industry Association), FONDEF (Chilean National Science Foundation) and Fundacion Chile. Pola is a director for technological companies in Chile and he is an associated DBM coach. Pola holds an engineering degree and an MBA degree from Universidad de Chile.
